Meet The Owners - Andy and Lori 

Andy and Lori enjoy spending time with their family that is rapidly growing and consists of their 4 adult children and their spouses and 11 beautiful energetic grandchildren. They also enjoy everything that Spring Brook Farm has to offer, including their mini horses, paso fino horses, a rocky mountain horse, a bactrian camel, miniature sicilian donkeys, mini pigs, longhair dachshunds and labs, as well as the land, forest, creek, and trails.

More About Lori

Lori has worked in the public school system as an educator teaching Special Education, Family and Consumer Science and serving as a Professional School Counselor with a Masters Degree from Butler University for 31 years. She has experience working with persons with stress, anxiety, learning and/ or behavior disorders, mildly mentally handicapped, ADHD, and Autism. 
 
Lori’s education, experiences and personal believes are centered on spirituality, faith, self growth, natural and complimentary health, and the power of one’s ability to better control their thoughts, health, emotional wellbeing and choices in order to have the life they desire.

Lori's father loved his camels! He passed away in 2017, and his camels needed new homes, so of course Lori followed in her dad's footsteps yet again and brought home a young bull bactrian camel. Meet Pompeii! Lori is enjoying caring for, bonding with, training and watching Pompeii grow by the minute.

Certified Equine Specialist
in Mental Health and Learning 

Lori grew up riding quarter horses on her family's farm in Southern Illinois. She has owned, trained and loved her own horses since 1999. Aquiring several of her horses as foals, she was forced to gain more knowledge about horse behavior,  psychology, training, and developing healthy relationships with her horses. She has studied and read the works of many of the early developers of what is now known as Natural Horsemanship. Thousands of hours and years later she still enjoys riding, hanging out with and training her horses. She has also attended professional trainings for EAP/EAL endorsed by Parelli, PATH Int., EAGALA, and Natural Lifemanship. Lori was certified  as an Equine Specialist in Education and Mental Health through PATH International in June of 2019.  

Lori - Certified Healing Touch Practitioner

Lori is a certified by Healing Beyond Borders as a Healing Touch Practitioner. Many of her Healing Touch clients come to her seeking relaxation, increased energy, and/or relief from accidents, illnesses or injuries resulting in anxiety, chronic pain and/or surgeries.
 
Her work as an energy therapist has continued to awe and inspire her to serve others, as each session is so unique and powerful it’s a reminder that borders really do not limit energy. ​

Andy is Vice President of Spring Brook Farms and as you can see very active on the farm in his spare time.
